On Monday, October 2, 2023, the Guardians of the Province of St. Jerome in Croatia met together to conduct a planning meeting for the 2023-24 pastoral year. This year, their annual meeting took place at the Friary of St. Francis of Assisi in Pula, Croatia.
The meeting began with Midday Prayer, followed by some words of welcome from the Minister Provincial, Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ. He then announced an Extraordinary Provincial Chapter, which will be celebrated in 2024. Next, he presented the schedule of events in the Province for the pastoral year and informed the Guardians that there would be three spiritual retreats conducted for the friars of the Province.
The Guardians then discussed the life and pastoral activities of each of their friaries. Next, the Director of Vocations, Friar Stjepan BRČINA, presented his schedule for vocation promotion.
The planning meeting ended with Mass presided over by the Provincial Vicar, Friar Martin JAKOVIĆ. After the Mass, lunch was served in the refectory of the friary.
