On May 7, 2019, a new biography of Blessed Veronica ANTAL was presented at the parish church of St. Anthony of Padua in Zagreb, Croatia. The book, entitled “Veronica Antal – The Bloody Lily” is by biographer Alesandru SUCEU.
It was recently translated into the Croatian language and was published by the Veritas Publishing House of the Friars Minor Conventual in Zagreb.
The book’s presentation was made on the eighth Tuesday of a novena of thirteen Tuesdays devoted to St. Anthony, which lead up to the Saint’s feast day. The event is fervently attended at the church in Zagreb. In fact, the book was presented following a Mass that had been presided over by Friar Josip BLAŽEVIĆ, the Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Jerome in Croatia.
Those attending the presentation included the Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. in Romania, Friar Teofil PETRIȘOR, along with his Provincial Econom, Friar Daniel-Anton LUCACI. Both were visiting Croatia. Last year, a collaboration effort between the two Provinces was started, and for the time being, Friar Marius ANDREI, a clerical student from the Province of Romania, is studying at the clerical house of studies in Zagreb.
The book was presented by Friar Vladimir VIDOVIĆ, Director of the Veritas publishing house and magazine, and Friar Zdravko TUBA, the National Assistant of the M.I. in Croatia. The Minister Provincial, Friar Teofil, made a speech with the help of a translation by Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ, the Assistant General for the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF).
