On October 10, 2019, His Eminence, Juan de la Caridad Cardinal GARCÍA RODRÍGUEZ, Archbishop of San Cristobal de La Habana, Cuba, imposed his hands upon Friar Danisandro SÁNCHEZ PEÑA and ordained him to the diaconate. The ordination took place at the Church of Santa Clara, in La Habana, Cuba.
Friar Danisandro was born on February 14, 1984, in Holguín, Cuba. He made his simple profession on December 8, 2012, and his solemn profession on November 29, 2016. Friar Franco BUONAMANO, the Minister Provincial of the Mother Province, the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy), was present at the celebration along with Friar Danilo MARINELLI who served as his assistant.
