On November 27, 2021, Friar Victor ABEGG, the Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph of Cupertino in the USA, issued the official decree for the erection of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis Anthony Fasani in Vietnam.
The decree goes into effect on January 1, 2022. The erection ceremony took place in the Friary of St. Joseph of Cupertino in Castro Valley, California, USA. Friar Luke VŨ, the Delegate for the Delegation in Vietnam, was present at the event. The new Custody will have four friaries, twenty-eight solemnly professed friars and eighteen simply professed friars. The first Custodial Chapter is scheduled for the end of February 2022.
