On July 12-16, 2021, the Ministers Provincial, Custodes and Delegates of the Federación América Latina Conventuales (FALC) met online for the 2021 Assembly of the Federation. Convoked by the Assistant General for the FALC, Friar Rogério PEREIRA XAVIER, the friars reflected on several topics proposed by the Federation’s Steering Committee.
These included “The Earlier Rule in the Context of the Celebration of Its 800th Anniversary,” presented by Friar Marcos Alejandro QUESADA NAVARRO of the Provincial Custody of Mary, Mother of Mercy in Central America; “The Relationship with Minors: How to Perform Preliminary Investigations in Case of Abuse,” presented by Friar Antonio Enrique SANDOVAL POVEDA, also from the Custody of Central America; and “The FALC Novitiate in Colombia: A Report on the Novitiate,” presented by the Custos of the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia, Friar José Andrés CASTRO FARAH, together with the Novice Master of the Custody of Columbia, Friar Pedro Pablo BERMÚDEZ. Friar Pablo ROSARIO DOMÍNGUEZ, from the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, also attended the Assembly, and the Minister General, Friar Carlos A. TROVARELLI, participated as well and spoke on various matters concerning the life of the Order.
