On August 25, 2025, the friars, novices, and postulants of the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines celebrated the 46th anniversary of the foundation of the Conventual Franciscan Order in the Philippines. This year also marks the 800th anniversary of the composition of the Canticle of the Creatures. The celebration of these significant events took place at the St. Maximilian Friary in Parañaque City.

The activities in the morning included a presentation by Friar Dennis M. VARGAS on his experience as a missionary. This was followed by updates and communications from the Custos, Friar Emmanuel C. GIVA. After a short break, two murals were unveiled in the refectory of the St. Maximilian friary: one depicting the Canticle of the Creatures and the other dedicated to St. Maximilian Kolbe. Next, Friar Emmanuel presided over Mass. Lunch followed. During the meal, some friars performed a variety of songs and dances known as a “Franciscan Joy” program. After lunch, the Commissions/Ad Hoc Committees met and presented the Code of Conduct to the friars, who signed it. After the signing, the postulants and junior friars played basketball. The celebration concluded with Eucharistic Adoration presided over by the Custodial Vicar, Friar Dominic LIM. Supper followed.
