The Feast of the Visitation, which falls on May 31, is the particular date that the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Blessed Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines has set for the celebration of solemn professions.
This year (2019) the Custodial Vicar, Friar Emmanuel GIVA, received the solemn vows of Friar Uriel SANTOS.
The event was held at the parish church San Agustin, in Parañaque City, near Manila. San Agustin is one of three parishes under the care of the friars of the Custody and is also the home parish of Friar Uriel. Those attending the ceremony included the friars, some young men in formation, friends and lay collaborators.
Friar Uriel entered the Order in 2009 and made his first profession in 2012. In 2016, he graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Majoring in Religious Studies. A year later, he passed the licensing examination for Professional Teachers (PLEBT). He is assigned de famiglia to the St. Maximilian Friary in Parañaque City and at the same time, serves in the Custodial Secretariat.
