On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., the Most Reverend Felice ACCROCCA, Archbishop of Benevento, Italy, ordained Friar Emiliano DI SEBASTIANO to the diaconate.
The event took place at the Sanctuary of St. Angela in Foligno, Italy. Friar Emiliano is a member of the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy). He is originally from Sezze, Italy, and is now a member of the friary in Foligno. Those attending the ordination included Friar Emiliano’s relatives and friends as well as many friars from his Province who came to be with him at this important moment in his vocational journey.
Being ordained by Archbishop ACCROCCA was particularly significant because he used to be Friar Emiliano’s pastor at his home parish, before he entered the Order.
Friar Emiliano was born on April 30, 1985, in Sezze. He completed his novitiate year in 2018. He made his simple profession on August 24, 2018, and his solemn profession on October 8, 2022.
