The new newsletter covering April-June of 2018 is now available.
To start, let me remind you that on the page concerning the Minister General (page 3), we reference a link that will give you access to our website covering the upcoming Extraordinary General Chapter.
Next, you can follow the acts of the General Definitory (pp. 4-6) and news about the General Houses (pp.6-10). In that section we also highlight the meeting with the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew at our parish of the Twelve Holy Apostles (p. 8) and we recount the closing of the academic year at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure (Seraphicum) (page 10).
Our news section (pp. 11-15) mentions an initiative from the Sacro Convento in Assisi calling for a “Day of Prayer for Peace in Syria” (page 13). Within the pages covering the General Offices (pp. 16-28) we place special emphasis on the articles concerning our Postulator General (pp. 22-25).
With regard to the Federations (pp. 30-59) we invite you to read the news about the priestly ordination in Zambia (page 31); the reopening of the friary in Würzburg, Germany (page 38); the Youth Day in Brazil (p. 45); the festivities at Niepokalanów, Poland, for the 100th Anniversary of the priestly ordination of St. Maximilian M. KOLBE (page 49); and the showing of a docu-film, at the Sacro Convento in Assisi, on the meeting between St. Francis and the Sultan.
As always at the end, there are the pages about the Chapters (pp. 60-69), and statistical data, which, in this issue, includes general information about the Order as well as personal data (p.70). The statistics have been updated to December 31, 2017 (pp. 71-76).
