For over thirty years, on the feast of St. Francis, the Franciscan Youth of Germany has organized a gathering of youth and young adults associated with various friaries in the Order. They meet for prayer and fraternity.

This year’s gathering took place on September 27-29, 2024, at the Gekreuzigter Erlöser Friary, in Lage-Rieste, in the Diocese of Osnabrück, Germany.
The Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Elizabeth in Germany, Friar Andreas MURK and Friar Konrad SCHLATTMANN, led workshops during the event. The workshops offered reflections on the topic of St. Francis receiving the stigmata and on a religious approach to angels, seraphim and cherubim.
After visiting the cathedral in Osnabrück in the afternoon, the participants formed small groups and took part in a digital treasure hunt through the city center using their smartphones.
The meeting ended with Mass at the church in Lage, followed by a meal and the participants thanking the hosting friars, who were led by Friar Bernhardin M. SEITHER.
