On Saturday, July 27, 2019, four novices from Ghana and one from Burkina Faso made their first profession of vows in Saltpond, Ghana.

The celebration took place at the St Anthony Hall in the Franciscan Valley of Prayer and Silence in Saltpond. The novices making their first profession were Moses Kodjo Sassou WALLACE, Samuel Awechena TANKIA, Martin Mensah BOAMAH and Isaac Manu ADOBASOM from Ghana, and Nicolas-Thierry KENOU from Burkina Faso.
The novices professed their vows into the hands of the Vicar Custos of Ghana, Friar Eugene ANTWI-BOASIAKO with Friars David Marian KWAW and Isaac FRIMPONG witnessing.
The Vicar Custos expressed his sincere gratitude to the Novice Director, Friar Moses ARTHUR and his Assistant, Friar Stephen AMO for their tireless efforts and the sharing of their experience. The newly professed friars will move on to various formation houses to begin philosophy studies in August.
