On January 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., three friars of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in India, namely, Friars Limson PADAYATTY, Jithin THEKKEMALY, and Frecin KURIYEDOM, were ordained to the sacred priesthood by the Most Reverend Paul ALAPPATT, Bishop of Ramanathapuram (Syro-Malabar), India. The solemn and joyous celebration took place at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, located at the Assisi Shanti Kendra Friary in Karukutty, India.

The ordination ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished leaders in the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, including the Minister Provincial, Friar Michael EARALY; the Provincial Vicar, Friar Alphonse VAZHAPPANADY; and the Delegate of the Provincial Delegation in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, India, Friar Sinto ANTU THIRUTHEL. Also present were various priests, religious brothers and sisters, family members, and faithful from several parishes.
The beautifully adorned church resounded with hymns of praise and thanksgiving as the three friars committed their lives to serve God and the Church through their priestly ministry. During his homily, Bishop ALAPPATT emphasized the sacred responsibilities of priesthood, calling the newly ordained to be shepherds of faith and love, following the example of St. Francis of Assisi.
The ceremony was followed by a festive meal, where the new priests were congratulated by their confreres and loved ones.
