On the afternoon of Sunday, August 3, 2025, a ceremony took place for young men wishing to begin their journey as followers of St. Francis of Assisi in the Province of Mary Immaculate in Indonesia. The event took place at St. Joseph’s Church in the village of Delitua, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia.

Twenty-two postulants participated: seven were welcomed as first-year postulants, and fifteen as second-year postulants. The latter are preparing to enter the novitiate the following year.
The Minister Provincial, Friar Maximilianus SEMBIRING, presided over the ceremony. Also present were the two main formators for the postulancy program, Friar Richardus NATUN, the Rector for the first year postulants, and Friar Sevan Rinaldi SEMBIRING, the Rector for the second year postulants.
Others present included the friars of the community, some religious sisters from nearby convents, and some lay faithful, who joyfully shared this moment of grace and hope for the Province.
The formation house for the first-year postulants is located at the St. Catherine Friary in Tigajuhar, about 15 km [9 mi.] from Delitua, where the Provincial Curia and the formation house for the second-year postulants are located.
