On August 14-18, 2023, all the friars of the Province of Mary Immaculate in Indonesia gathered at the Cinta Alam Retreat Center to conduct a Pre-Chapter Assembly.
The sixty-nine participating friars worked together to evaluate the life of the Jurisdiction over the last four-year mandate which will end in 2024. Those present at the Assembly included the Assistant General for the Federation of Asian Minor Conventuals (FAMC), Friar Benedetto BAEK; the Secretary General for Mission Animation, Friar Dariusz MAZUREK; and the Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow), Friar Marian GOŁĄB.
Finally, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, Friars Adri Eygiya SITEPU, Gracianta Amor GINTING, Abdiwa Agung Yesaya PERANGINANGIN, and Agustinus K. KEFI, were ordained to the priesthood by the Most Reverend Kornelius SIPAYUNG, OFM Cap., Archbishop of Medan, Indonesia. The ordinations took place in Delitua. About four thousand faithful took part in the solemn celebration.
