On March 7, 2020, the formators of the Province of Mary Immaculate in Indonesia, led by Friar Robert Tarcisius Zonpiter SIHOTANG, met together at the Santo Bonaventura Friary in Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra.
The attending formators were Friars Samuel SIMANGUNGSONG, Rector of the Minor Seminary; Maxinimus NEPSA Rector of the postulancy program; Yoseph Ariwibowo DJAKA, Vice-Rector of the postulancy program; Gilberto Albino Dos Reis DA COSTA, Novice Master; Longinus JUDUNG, Rector of the Major Seminary; Antonius Yulius YULIANTO; Fictorium Natanael GINTING; and Florianus Joni SAMAN, all formators at the Major Seminary. The Minister Provincial, Friar Cornelio Tri Chandra FAJARIYANTO, was also present as the highest ranking head of formation.
Examining the current formation situation in the Province, Friar Robert talked about developing a work program that highlights communication and sharing among formators. The aim is to establish continuity within initial formation so that it is in accord with our charism, the new Constitutions and Franciscan Discipleship.
After some discussion and exchange, the members of the Initial Formation Commission were elected. They are Friars Robert Tarcisius Zonpiter SIHOTANG, President; Antonius Yulius YULIANTO, Vicar; Samuel SIMANGUNGSONG, Secretary; Maxinimus NEPSA, Econom; and Norbertus Nana MANEK. Members elected to the preparation group for solemn profession include Friars Gilberto Albino Dos Reis DA COSTA, President; Antonius Yulius YULIANTO, Vicar; Yoseph Ariwibowo DJAKA, Longinus JUDUNG, and Fictorium Natanael GINTING. Members elected to welcoming group for new candidates are Friars Maxinimus NEPSA President, and Friar Samuel SIMANGUNGSONG.
