On July 19-24, 2021, the second part of the Ordinary Provincial Chapter of the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy) was held at the Seraphicum College in Rome.

On Monday morning, July 19, the Capitulars began with a spiritual reflection led by Father Fabio ROSINI from the Diocese of Rome, on the theme: “One Heart and One Soul.” In the afternoon, reports were read dealing with particular topics that had been put on hold from the first part of the Chapter. At the end of the first day, the Capitulars elected Friar Roberto TAMANTI as Provincial Econom and Friar Daniele GIOMBINI as Provincial Exactor.
The Instrumentum laboris was then read and the Capitulars divided into four study groups. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, the groups worked on the various points of the Instrumentum laboris, as indicated by the Steering Committee of the Chapter, while the afternoons were dedicated to discussion in assembly and voting on the Chapter motions.
On Friday, July 23, the sixth session was conducted, with the election and appointment of the Guardians and the Presidents of the Commissions. Finally, the text of the Provincial Four-Year Plan was approved.
The new Guardians swore their oaths of office during Evening Prayer in the chapel.
On Saturday morning, July 24, the seventh session took place with a touching commemoration of the friars who died during the 2017-2021 term; the Capitulars then offered a prayer of suffrage in their memory. With this final event, the 2021 Ordinary Provincial Chapter was concluded.
