At 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020, Friar Daniele M. SCIACCA was ordained to the priesthood through the imposition of hands and consecratory prayer of the Most Reverend Giovanni NERBINI, Bishop of Prato. The event took place at the Annunciazione Church in the Castellina district of Prato, Italy.
Friar Daniele’s family and friends were able to participate in the celebration, in compliance with the norms in effect at this time during the pandemic. Many priests and friars from the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy) were present along with the Minister Provincial, Friar Franco BUONAMANO. The next day, October 18, Friar Daniele celebrated his first Mass in the same church.
Friar Daniele was born in Prato on April 27, 1986. He professed his simple vows with Friars Minor Conventual on September 7, 2013, his solemn vows on September 22, 2018, and was ordained to the diaconate on September 21, 2019. Friar Daniele is currently ministering at our Sant’Antonio di Padova Church in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy.
