On Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in South C, Nairobi, three friars made their solemn profession to the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.
The Minister Provincial friar Obed Muriungi KAROBIA received the vows of friar Kenneth Macharia NGUGI and friar Michael Maina MWOGORA of the Province of St. Francis of Assisi, Kenya; and friar Felix Nana Kwame AGYAPONG of the Provincial Custody of St. Anthony of Padua in Ghana.
The celebration was attended by a number of friars as well as lay faithful amongst whom were the parents and family members of the friars. All Covid-19 protocols were well observed during the colourful celebration. The newly professed friars will continue with their program of Theological studies at Tangaza University College in Nairobi while residing at St. Bonaventure Formation house in Langata, Nairobi.
