On March 22-23, 2024, the community of the Great Oasis of Shechem Movement in Gdańsk, Poland, celebrated “Spring Day.” The main theme of the event was give witness to the Christian life of the founder of the “Light-Life” movement, Servant of God Father Franciszek BLACHNICKI.
The young people involved participated in a two-day program entitled “Antidote – Talking about Father BLACHNICKI,” organized by the Institute of National Remembrance and the Conventual Franciscan St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe House of Reconciliation and Encounter Movement .
On Friday evening, March 22, a traditional penitential liturgy was celebrated, and on Saturday at noon, the Most Reverend Piotr PRZYBOREK, Auxiliary Bishop of Gdańsk, presided over a Mass to pray for the beatification of Father Franciszek BLACHNICKI.
Branches of the Great Oasis Movement in Elbląg, Koszalin, Lębork, Inowrocław, Ostróda and Olsztyn (Poland) also came to Gdańsk together with their priests.
