On May 18, 2018, a solemn closing ceremony for the 2017-2018 academic year took place on the campus of the Franciscan College of St. Bonaventure in Lusaka, Zambia.
186 of the college’s 225 students are friars belonging to the three Franciscan families: the Order of Friars Minor, the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin and the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.
The St. Bonaventure College Faculty of Philosophy is affiliated with the Pontifical University of St. Anthony (Antonianum) in Rome. The Faculty welcomed sixty-three third year students who will be undertaking further theological formation in various areas of Africa in the coming months.

The ceremony was preceded by a three-day meeting of the university council, composed of all of the major superiors of the religious studying at the faculty.
The celebrations began with Mass attended by the major superiors, all of the professors, the university council, the students and the families of those students graduating in philosophy.
