As part of its continuing formation program, the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico has been conducting some generational formation meetings for the friars.

Friars from similar generations—those who had initial formation around the same time—gather to reflect and spend fraternal time together. These meetings are enriching and take place in a special atmosphere.
On February 11-13, 2025, one such meeting was held specifically for friars who have been solemnly professed between sixteen and twenty-four years. The meeting took place at the María Inmaculada Friary in Bosques de Morelos, state of Mexico. Thirteen friars from different friaries participated. They were led and guided by Father Marco ÁLVAREZ DE TOLEDO (Missionaries of the Holy Spirit). He provided them with valuable insights for meditation, focusing on personal spiritual growth. The lectures, reflection periods, and dynamics for sharing personal growth were very engaging.
The participants also went on a fraternal outing to Las Huertas, a beautiful place where a river originates and where you can take a dip in the water.
It must be said that these meetings are a challenge; there is always some unforeseen event that makes it difficult for the friars to participate. Everyone made a sacrifice to attend this meeting, given that they were unable to attend the First Mass of one of their confreres who had been ordained to the priesthood at the same time the meeting was going on. The date of the meeting could not be changed due to the preacher’s schedule.
As part of our growth, we entrust these activities to God, receiving from Him the tools we need to be Conventual friars according to His plan.
