On July 9, 2021, the novitiate of the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico began a new canonical year.

This year, the novitiate has four novices. One of them is a member of the Provincial Delegation in Ecuador, of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk). He will return to his Jurisdiction at the end of his novitiate. The other three novices belong to the Province of Mexico.
The new novices were vested in the habit of the Order at the Parish Church of San Guillermo Abad. The church is cared for by the friars of the San Antonio de Padua Friary and Novitiate in Totolapan, Morelos, Mexico.
The 11:00 a.m. Mass was presided over by the Minister Provincial, Friar Mario CASTRO MARTÍNEZ. The concelebrants included the Vicar Provincial, Friar Cornelio Cándido MORÁN RÍOS; the Novice Master, Friar Pablo ROSARIO DOMÍNGUEZ; the Guardian, Friar Carlos LOVERA ESCOBAR; the Pastor, Friar Noé CHÁVEZ RAMÍREZ; and the Rector of the postulancy program, Friar Raúl RAMÍREZ HERNÁNDEZ. A number of postulants, temporarily and solemnly professed friars of the Province were also present.
After the Mass, festivities continued in the friary, where everyone shared a fraternal meal.
The new novices are Friars Abel CRUZ AUSENCIO (27), Julio Cesar ÁLVAREZ RAMÍREZ (27), Jefferson Patricio LÓPEZ CANACUAN (26) and José Nahers PARRA NIEVES (25).
We ask God to grant these new novices fidelity and perseverance in their vocation, and we ask that our Seraphic Father St. Francis and the Immaculate Virgin Mary always accompany and guide them on their journey.
