On January 5, 2020, two friars of the Provincial Delegation in Paraguay of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) made their solemn profession and became forever joined to the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.

The new solemnly professed confreres are Friars José Wildo BOGARÍN and Juan Javier PEREIRA GAONA. The ceremony took place at the Jesús Misericordioso Retreat Center in Areguá, Paraguay, and was presided over by Friar Jacek ORZEŁ, the Provincial Delegate. Others participating included the friends, family members and confreres of the newly professed friars.
The Franciscan mission in Paraguay was founded in 1992. Many candidates have entered the Order here in recent years and have begun initial formation. However, so far, only one of them has completed his journey to priestly ordination. For a young missionary presence like ours, two new solemnly professed friars are cause for great joy. May God bless these friars and give them the graces they need!
