On April 20-24, 2026, the Militia of the Immaculata Center in Niepokalanów Lasek, Poland, hosted a formation meeting for the formators of the monasteries of the Federation of Poor Clares. The meeting opened with Mass presided over by the Minister Provincial of the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw), Friar Piotr ŻURKIEWICZ, who also led the introductory meditation.
For several days, this charming, welcoming, and familial setting became a true Clarian refuge for the sisters. The theme of the formation meeting was “Live, Grow!…I passed by you again and saw that you were now old enough for love” (Ez 16:7–8), and was focused on formation processes.
The daily schedule included Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as lectures and workshops. The following shared their expertise and rich experience with the sisters: on April 21, Friar Adam MĄCZKA, OFM Conv.; on April 22, Friar Piotr STANISŁAWCZYK OFM Conv.; and on April 23, Sister Victoria NAKONIECZNA, PDDM. The sisters also got to visit the sanctuary of Niepokalanów, whose history was presented with great passion and dedication by Friar Marek GĄSIOROWSKI and the Guardian of Niepokalanów, Friar Piotr SZCZEPAŃSKI. On Tuesday, April 21, they visited the nearby Poor Clare community in Miedniewice. On Friday, April 24, after lunch and a blessing imparted by the Guardian of Niepokalanów Lasek, Friar Mirosław ADASZKIEWICZ, the sisters returned to their communities with hope for a future meeting. Finally, all the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to Friar Piotr STANISŁAWCZYK for his fraternal guidance and support during this formation event.
