On Saturday, March 14, 2020, Friar Grzegorz BARTOSIK was elected as the Minister Provincial of the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw).
Friar Grzegorz was elected by letter on the third ballot. He was born in Sochaczew-Chodaków, Poland, on October 18, 1962. He made his simple profession on September 1, 1982, his solemn profession on the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi in 1986, and was ordained to the priesthood on June 25, 1988.
The first part of the Ordinary Provincial Chapter of Warsaw has been set for April 27, 2020.
Due to the pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus, the first part of the Ordinary Provincial Chapter of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) has been postponed to May 11, 2020. Similarly, the first part of the Ordinary Provincial Chapter of the Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. in Romania has been moved to June 20, 2020.
