On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) hosted a concise, eleven-hour workshop for reporters. Around thirty friars connected with the friaries and works of the Province attended. The event took place at the Provincial Curia in Cracow.
The speakers were Monika KAMIŃSKA, Director of RMF24.pl news service; Grzegorz KOZAKIEWICZ, a photojournalist from Cracow; and Friar Jan M. SZEWEK, the Provincial Spokesman. The speakers taught the friars how to write news bulletins and reports on events, how to prepare and conduct interviews, and how to take good photographs to illustrate the news.
In an anonymous questionnaire, the course participants expressed their desire to continue the workshop with more hands-on activities and to expand the program to include training on social media and television activities, such as appearing on camera or making videos.
The course was organized by the Province of Cracow and the Brother Sun Foundation of Cracow.
