On April 9, 2022, Pope Francis had an audience with His Eminence, Marcello Cardinal SEMERARO, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
During the audience, the Supreme Pontiff authorized the Congregation to promulgate the Decree of Heroic Virtues of the Servant of God, Friar Francesco Costantino MAZZIERI, a professed priest in the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, who was later ordained Bishop of Ndola, Zambia. Friar Francesco Costantino was born on March 25, 1889, in the village of Abbadia, near Osimo, Italy. He died on August 19, 1983, in Ibenga, Zambia.
