On Saturday, January 18, 2025, Friar Roberto LIGGERI of the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy) was ordained to the priesthood by His Eminence Cardinal Mauro GAMBETTI. The ceremony took place at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Rome.
Among the concelebrants were the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI, and the Minister Provincial Friar Francesco LENTI. The celebration was enlivened by the presence of many friends and faithful from the places where Friar Roberto lived or carried out his pastoral ministry. Also present were many friars from the Province, the Seraphicum College, and the General Curia.
The next day, Sunday, January 19, Friar Roberto presided over his first Mass at the Santissima Annunziata Church in Rome.
Friar Roberto is currently part of the Provincial youth and vocation ministry team at the Santa Croce Friary in Florence. We wish him a fruitful and holy priestly ministry.
