On February 7-12, 2019, Friar Jacek CIUPIŃSKI, the Assistant General for the Federatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO), traveled to Moscow, Russia, for a fraternal visit.
During the visit, the Assistant General took part in a meeting of the Definitory of the Russian General Custody of St. Francis of Assisi. During the Definitory meeting, the friars discussed the plan to incorporate the mission in Kazakhstan into the Custody. They also discussed Russia’s upcoming Extraordinary Custodial Chapter in St. Petersburg, which is scheduled for March 20, 2012.
On February 11, Friar Jacek took part in the solemn commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the “Franciscan Publishing House” in Moscow. The celebration took place in the cathedral, with the Most Reverend Paolo PEZZI, Archbishop of Moscow, presiding over the Mass. After the liturgy, the festivities continued at the diocesan curia in Moscow with a fraternal agape meal.
