On July 14-21, 2018, a missionary week took place with youth from the city of Santo André in Brazil.
The participants included forty young people, two aspirants, two Missionary Sisters of Assisi and Friar Flávio Martins VENÁNCIO who is the vocation promoter for the Province of St. Francis of Assisi in Brazil.
The young people went from house to house, proclaiming the message of Jesus in the manner of Francis, bringing with them joy and peace. They also participated in a Mass with the friars from the common formation program of the Federación América Latina Conventuales (FALC). The participants also visited the local mental institution and the headquarters of the Militia of the Immaculata. There was also some traditional evangelization carried out in the town squares.
We thank God for his every blessing. We are grateful to him and joyful to be Franciscans. The Church is alive! The Church is young!
