The ceremony took place at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Bratislava.

A day earlier, Friar Peter made his profession of faith and took his oath of fidelity in the friary chapel with the Custos, Friar Lucjan M. BOGUCKI, present.
The diaconal ordination was attended by friars from the Custody of Slovakia and the Province of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the Czech Republic. Others present included the new deacon’s hometown pastor, various religious, family members and numerous faithful.
In his homily, Bishop HAL’KO spoke about Pope Francis’ thoughts on today’s people, who often live in the present moment. He stressed that fidelity is the right way to reach the goal of eternity and salvation. Finally, he encouraged Friar Peter to persevere on the path he has taken.
