On October 13 and 14, 2026, the friars of the Province of St. Joseph in Slovenia gathered at the friary in Olimje for two days of continuing formation. The first day was reserved for Guardians and Vicar Guardians, while the second was for the rest of the friars of the Province.
On the first day, the Vicar General of the Order, Friar Igor SALMIČ, explored the ministry of the Guardian within the friar community in light of the Constitutions, the General Statutes, and the Provincial Statutes. Ten friars attended. The session continued with a discussion of the topic and some practical guidance, particularly for friars serving in this role for the first time.
The second day focused on the Testament of St. Francis of Assisi. Twenty friars attended. Friar Igor gave an in-depth and careful analysis of the text. This was followed by small group discussions in which the friars highlighted key points of the Testament and reflected on how to apply them in their own religious lives
