On November 12-16, 2018, the Federation of Asian Minors Conventual (FAMC) held its annual meeting of local superiors in Sri Lanka. Everyone attended.

During the meeting, the friars discussed the directory of the Common Novitiate House in Tagaytay City, the Philippines. The directory was prepared by Friar Joseph Luke VŨ, the Provincial Delegate in Vietnam, Friar Martin PALLIKKARA, the former Provincial Delegate in Sri Lanka; and Friar Emmanuel Jr. GIVA, the Custodial Vicar of the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines. The guardians also listened to some suggestions from Friar Louis PANTHIRUVELIL, the Secretary General for Formation (SGF). After that, the friars unanimously approved the directory.
Later, Friar Louis spoke on the theme, “The New Constitutions and Their Impact on Initial and Ongoing Formation.”
Many thanks to the Provincial Delegate in Sri Lanka, Friar Ferdinand MELAPPILLY THOMAS and the Sri Lankan friars who were so hospitable to the participants.
Members of the FAMC Federation include the Provinces of South Korea, Japan and India; the Provincial Custodies of the Philippines and Indonesia and the Delegations of Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
The next meeting will be held in November of next year, in Vietnam.
