On January 22-27, 2024, some thirty friars from the Sacred Convent, and other communities of the General Custody of Assisi, attended their annual spiritual retreat. The event took place at the friary of the Friars Minor in Todi, Italy.

The retreat was led by Friar Fabio SCARSATO, OFM Conv., a member of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy). The theme of the retreat was: “What Can You See from La Verna? A Retreat for Franciscan ‘Voyeurs.’” It was linked to the commemoration of the 800th anniversary of St Francis receiving the stigmata. This retreat was a communal and individual journey of reflection and prayer. It was also a time for personal validation on a spiritual and vocational level. Last but not least, it provided some particularly focused moments of fraternal discussion, which stimulated everyone to resume their everyday lives with renewed vigor and enthusiasm.
