On February 4-7, 2019, Friar Jacek CIUPIŃSKI, the Assistant General for the Federatio Europae Mediae et Orientalis (FEMO), traveled to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for a fraternal visit.
During his visit, Friar Jacek participated in a monthly meeting of friars of the Provincial Delegation in Uzbekistan and another meeting of the friars, this time with the Most Reverend Jerzy MACULEWICZ, OFM Conv., Apostolic Administrator of Uzbekistan.
Currently, there are nine friars living and working in Uzbekistan. They are from the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow). There are two postulants from the mission who are presently undergoing initial formation in Poland.
