Today, the feast of St. Anthony of Padua, the Capitulars chose to take a day off from the Chapter proceedings. This gave some friars, especially the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI and the Minister Provincial of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy) Friar Roberto BRANDINELLI, the chance to participate in the celebrations at the Basilica of St. Anthony of Padua in Padua.

The 7:00 a.m. Mass at the Seraphicum college was presided over by the Minister Provincial of the Italian Province of St. Francis of Assisi (Central Italy) Friar Francesco LENTI. Friar Francesco invited the friars to follow the example of our confrere, St. Anthony, who, through the Holy Spirit, was able to unite the wisdom of the Holy Scriptures to the work of evangelization and human development. Let us pray that the Lord may rekindle in us the apostolic enthusiasm that inspired the life and mission of St. Anthony of Padua.
Finally, some Capitulars took part in Evening Prayer at the Friary of St. Anthony at the Baths (La Vigna) to celebrate, with the local community, the Saint, after whom the General House is dedicated.
