On Sunday, August 2, 2020, six novices of the Province of the Franciscan Protomartyrs in Zambia made their temporary profession of vows. The ceremony took place at the Parish Church of St. Joseph of Cupertino in Ndola, Zambia.
The confreres professed their vows into the hands of the Minister Provincial of Zambia, Friar Richard Francis CHIMFWEMBE. The newly professed are Friars Emmanuel KAPAMBWE; Emmanuel MALAMA; Peter Raphael CHIPULU; Macleno MULENGA KOMAKI; Stephen SUMANI CHANDA; and Jack Joachim MWAPE.
On Saturday, August 8, 2020, five postulants were vested in the habit and began their canonical year of novitiate at the formation house in Itimpi, Kitwe. The new novices are Noel Augustine DAMA (Malawi); Stanslaus Kabwe SAMPA (Zambia); Mathews BANDA (Zambia); Brown TEMBO (Zambia); and Julius INGWE (Zambia). The Minister Provincial presided over the vesting ceremony.
Also present at the ceremony were Friars Ryan MUTAYOMBA (Novice Master); Joseph Kapoko MUKUKA (Postulancy Director); Gordon Bwalya FUNDANGA (Assistant Postulancy Director); and Xaveriano Joseph BANDA, a spiritual retreat preacher and a member of the Itimpi Friary.
