On Saturday, July 23, 2022, ten novices completed their year of probation at the Sacred Convent in Assisi and made their simple profession. The ceremony took place during Mass presided over by Fra Marco MORONI, Custos of the General Custody of the Sacred Convent of St. Francis in Italy. The Mass was celebrated at the altar of the Lower Basilica, in the presence of Friars Vincenzo ESPOSITO and Stephen Ochieno OCHWADA, who served as witnesses.
The friars made their simple professions into the hands of their respective Ministers Provincial, Custodes or their Delegates, namely, Friar Giorgio TASSONE, Custos of the Provincial Custody of St. Daniel and Companion Martyrs in Italy (Calabria); Friar Jean-François M. AUCLAIR, Custos of the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure in France-Belgium; Friar Mauro M. DE FILIPPIS DELFICO, Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Bernardine and St. Angelo in Italy (Abruzzo-Molise); Friar Miljenko HONTIĆ, Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Jerome in Croatia; Friar Cosimo M. Michele ANTONINO, Minister Provincial of the Province of the Seraphic Father St. Francis in Italy (Naples); Friar Gilberto DEPEDER, Vicar Provincial of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy); and Friar Flavio Daniele MAIORANO, Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Nicholas and St. Angelo in Italy (Puglia).
The ten new friars are: Friar Francesco IANNELLO (Calabria); Friars Anselme BOISSONNET, Emmanuel ROUX and Emmanuel VALENTIN (France and Belgium); Friar Mattia MOLINA (Abruzzo); Friar Sandi AŠČIĆ (Croatia); Friars Domenico AURIEMMA and Fiorentino MONACO (Naples); Friar Sebastiano CONTRI (Northern Italy); and Friar Cosimo PASCULLI (Puglia).
