On March 8-11, 2020, the friars of the Provincial Custody of St. Leopold and St. Nicolas of Flüe in Austria-Switzerland held the second part of their Ordinary Custodial Chapter at the Heilige Dreifaltigkeit Friary in Vienna, Austria.

Friar Dominique MATHIEU, the Assistant General for the Centralis Europae Foederatio (CEF), and Friar Andreas MURK, the Minister Provincial of the Mother Province of St. Elizabeth in Germany, also attended.
The new Provincial Custos, Friar Dariusz ZAJĄC, presided. During the Chapter, various motions were discussed and finally approved. Among other things, it was decided that the friars over seventy-five should have their driving ability checked regularly. In addition, a “Building and Finance Commission” was set up to better handle building and financial matters with the help of specialists. The friars also wanted to be better trained in the field of “public relations” and to make young people more aware of religious life.
Following the proposal of Friar Dariusz, the following Guardians were elected: for the Friary of Asparn, Austria, Friar Nicholas THENAMMAKKKAL; for the Friary of Flüeli, Switzerland, Friar Reto DAVATZ; for the Friary of Friborg, Switzerland, Friar Daniele BROCCA; for the Friary of Graz, Austria, Friar Petru FARCAŞ; for the Friary of Neunkirchen, Austria, Friar Bernhard LANG; and for the Friary in Vienna, Friar Thomas MANALIL.
The friars of the Custody confirmed Friar Tomasz ZEGAN as the Custodial Econom. The finances of the Custody had already been entrusted to him during the previous mandate.
At the end of the Chapter, the Custos offered some words of encouragement as the friars commemorated their deceased confreres: “We have talked about our lives. We have set a course. Now life is ahead of us. We shall do our best to implement what we have decided!”
