On October 28-29, 2020, an online meeting on youth and vocation ministry took place in the Conventual Franciscan Jurisdictions in Brazil.
Those attending included: Friars Willian Gomes MENDONÇA and Luiz Henrique Nascimento LIMA from the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M.; Friars Flávio Martins VENÂNCIO and Pacífico Alves SANTOS from the Province of St. Francis; Friar Herivelto LEITE PEREIRA JÚNIOR from the Provincial Custody of St. Bonaventure; and Friar Beneval SOARES BOMFIM from the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe.
On the morning of October 28, Friar Jean Vieira DE SOUZA, the Director of Formation for the Federación América Latina Conventuales (FALC), gave a presentation on the commitment to youth and the vocation promotion and youth ministry being carried out in Brazil. In the afternoon, the friars reviewed how work in those areas is being conducted in each Jurisdiction.
On October 29, Friar Rogério PEREIRA XAVIER, the Assistant General for the FALC, took part in the meeting and spoke about vocation animation during the current pandemic. At the end of his talk, the participants discussed various topics dealing with vocation animation.
