On April 2-4, 2024, the friars of the Custody of the Immaculate Conception in Brazil met in the historic city of São João Del Rei, located in the state of Minas Gerais.
This fraternal event, celebrated after Easter, was characterized by discussion among the friars, rest and prayer. On April 3, a Mass was celebrated at the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Church in the nearby town of Tiradentes. This church was built by and for slaves between 1708 and 1719. The Provincial Custos, Friar Carlos Roberto de Oliveira CHARLES, presided over Mass, with many friar priests participating. After the Mass, the friars took a walk around the city of Tiradentes and had lunch together.
