In 2024, the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Brazil joyfully celebrated the 50th anniversary of its founding with the priestly ordination of three confreres: Friars Diogo Kennedy LIMA DE ARAÚJO, Carlos Eduardo GONÇALVES DE OLIVEIRA and Gederson Aparecido MARQUES NUNES.
The ordinations took place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the São Francisco de Assis Minor Basilica in Brasilia, Brazil. The friars were ordained through the imposition of the hands and the consecratory prayer of the Most Reverend Jan Kazimierz WILK, OFM Conv., Bishop of Anápolis, Goias state, Brazil. Many confreres concelebrated at the Mass of Ordination, including the Minister Provincial, Friar Gilberto DE JESUS RODRIGUES. Others attending included various religious, the faithful, relatives and friends of the newly ordained priests.
