On Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. in Brazil celebrated its fifth pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida.
The pilgrims celebrated Mass with the Most Reverend José Eudes CAMPOS DO NASCIMENTO, Bishop of São João Del Rei, presiding. The Provincial Custos, Friar Carlos Roberto de Oliveira CHARLES, and other friars and priests, concelebrated. Those in attendance included friars, young men in formation and lay people.
During the pilgrimage, the participants renewed their consecration to the Virgin Mary and requested her maternal intercession for all the needs of the world and Brazil. The Custody, its mission and that of the entire Order were prayerfully placed at Mary’s feet. May the Virgin Mary, [whose image] was discovered in the murky waters of the Paraíba do Sul River, intercede with her Son Jesus for peace in the world!
