On January 30-31, 2023, the Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia conducted a meeting for the Economs of its friaries. The meeting took place at the San Antonio de Padua Friary in Bogotà, Colombia.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide further formation and updating on the norms required by the Church, the Order and the Colombian state for the adequate and efficient administration of assets.
The primary focus of the meeting was studying the document “Economy at the Service of the Charism and Mission” by the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. It motivated reflection on the Church’s invitation to have an evangelical outlook when dealing with financial matters, which thus fosters harmony between the vitality of our charism and the meaning of our mission.
