On March 23, 2019, the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia joyfully celebrated the solemn profession of Friar Nelson Yesid CARVAJAL SIERRA.
The celebration took place at the Hermano Francisco parish in the Archdiocese of Medellín. The parish is entrusted to the pastoral care of the friars of the Custody and is where our newly professed confrere lived during his last years of initial formation. The celebration was presided over by the Custos, Friar José Andrés CASTRO FARAH. Several friars of the Custody were present, along with other religious from communities that are closely involved with the confreres and the faithful of the parish.
We thank God for the gift of the Franciscan vocation of our brother, which today was definitively consecrated to him. We pray that he will be a faithful witness of the Gospel of Christ, following the example of our father Saint Francis of Assisi.
