On February 24, 2026, three young men were admitted into the postulancy program of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in South Korea. The ceremony took place during Midday Prayer in the chapel of the St. Francis Friary in Seoul, South Korea. The Minister Provincial, Friar Benedetto Seung Jae BAEK, presided.
The new postulants are Francis Yong Jung KIM, John Ki Hyeok LEE and Raphael Jiho LEE. The ceremony was attended by their families and guests from their respective parishes. The entrance of these young men into the postulancy program is a sign of hope for the life and mission of the Order in South Korea.
The postulancy program is the first stage of formation in religious life. At that time, postulants are introduced to the Franciscan way of life while discerning their vocation.
We ask you to pray for our confreres as they begin their journey as postulants, that they may faithfully embrace the foundations of religious life and respond generously to their calling.
