Due to the pandemic, on Thursday, March 26, 2020, the Definitory of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) met by video call for the first time.
The Minister Provincial, Friar Marian GOŁĄB, and his seven Definitors, while located in different regions of Poland, were able to meet together by means of computers and tablets equipped with cameras.
Using anonymous e-mail addresses, the Definitors voted on various issues by sending e-mails to the address of the Provincial Secretariat.
During their session, the Definitors connected with the Provincial Econom and the representatives of the missions in Uganda, Uzbekistan, and the Ukraine. They also spoke with the confreres in North and South America.
One additional advantage of the “video session” was being able to view documents, presentations, graphics, etc. directly on the devices being used.
At this difficult time, the Provincial government has decided to meet more often using this type of communication.
