On February 10-14, 2025, Friar Robert LEŻOHUPSKI led a retreat for the friars of the Provincial Delegation in Ecuador. Friar Robert is a university professor and the Guardian of the friary in Poznań, Poland. The retreat was held at the Santa María Bernarda Spirituality Center in Quito, Ecuador. The Center is run by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians.
This retreat was focused on topics related to ministry in the internal forum: the sacrament of reconciliation, spiritual direction, and the prevention of abuse.
Over the course of five days, the friars reflected deeply, took a break from their daily duties, and spend time in close communion with the Lord. It was an opportunity for spiritual renewal and for better understanding the beauty of ministry directed at guiding the consciences of others. Friar Robert shared his knowledge and experience regarding the field of expertise of the Apostolic Penitentiary: analyzing many practical situations and moral challenges.
During this 2025 Jubilee Year and the 8th Centenary of the composition of the Canticle of the Creatures, the Provincial Delegation of St. Anthony of Padua in Ecuador, of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk), is also celebrating its own 30th anniversary.
