On May 28, 2023, the Minister General of the Order, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI, made a fraternal visit to the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines. He was accompanied by the Assistant General for the Federation of Asian Minor Conventuals (FAMC), Friar Benedetto BAEK; the General Delegate for Mission Animation (SGAM), Friar Dariusz MAZUREK; and the General Delegate for Formation (SGF) Friar Piotr STANISŁAWCZYK.

On May 29-31, the friars of the Custody gathered at the St. Joseph Friary in Tagaytay City for various lectures. Friar Carlos gave a lecture on the charism of the Conventual Franciscan entitled, “Living, Staying Alive and Transmitting the Charism.” Friar Dariusz spoke about the General Secretariat for Mission Animation and gave a lecture entitled, “Missionary Vocation.” He also talked about various mission presences of the Conventual Franciscan Order in the world. Friar Piotr gave a lecture about formation entitled, “Is Formation a Challenge?” On the evening of May 29, there was a fraternal celebration with songs and dances performed by the aspirants, postulants, novices, and the simply and solemnly professed friars. After the lectures, the Minister General visited the communities at the San Agustin Friary and the St. Maximilian M. Kolbe Friary in Parañaque City, the San Francisco ng Assisi Friary in Binangonan, and the Immaculata Friary in Novaliches. On June 3, Friar Carlos met with representatives of the Militia Immaculata and the Secular Franciscans from the South Manila Region. The meeting took place at the St. Maximilian M. Kolbe Friary, before he left for Cebu. On June 4, the Minister General presided over the opening Mass for the start of the Inter-Franciscan Missionary Course in Cebu. The Custodial Vicar, Friar Dominic LIM, accompanied Friars Carlos and Benedetto in Cebu.
