On Thursday, November 21, 2019, the editorial staff of the Città di Vita Magazine [City of Life”] attended a richly cultural event at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. Florence is also known as the City of the Medici Family.

The Director of Città di Vita, Friar Eugen RĂCHITEANU, was awarded a silver medal by the Save the City ONLUS [Non-Profit Organization for Social Use]. The Save the City association recognizes works of excellence in the city of Florence. Others attending the ceremony with Friar Eugen were Friar Paolo BOCCI, the Guardian and Rector of the Basilica of Santa Croce, various local authorities and a large and attentive public.
During the evening, the originality of Città di Vita was reaffirmed. The magazine is an Italian publication known for its intensely spiritual values and insights. It offers material on literary, philosophical, theological and artistic themes that reflect the Franciscan vision of life.
Città di Vita reaches more than 1300 universities, libraries and cultural centers around the world. Friar Eugen gave a speech emphasizing the magazine’s quiet and constructive presence. “We at City of Life” said the Director, “will continue to move within these goals in order to raise up the message of St. Francis of Assisi: ‘Peace and All Good,’ in the diverse culture of today’s plural world. We will always be faithful to our charism and to the long cultural, philosophical, theological, mystical and artistic tradition of our Franciscan thinking.”
